CCUB 1062: LESSON 3
Assalamualaikum and hi,
For third class, we need to watch a video regarding a story of Al Feel about an elephant. Then, Miss Iffah sent us a question in the private chats asking us to choose one. I was asked to choose between a dinasour or a dragon and i go with a dinasour.
We also had to do short summary of what we have learned from the video, our favourite menu for iftar and how we usually have our sahoor.
Here is my short summary about the video and my favourite menu for iftar and sahoor.
A)SURAH AL-FEEL.
To begin with, the surah reminds us that Allah is the most powerful creator. Allah annihilated them, defeated them, and rendered their efforts in futile, routing them back to their homeland. This demonstrates that no matter who you are, you should never try to compete with Allah S.W.T because no one can defy Allah's will. All of Allah's creatures on the planet must have faith in Him and be humble.
Second, I learned that the power of Dua is something that we, as humans, must not underestimate. We can see that Allah s.w.t. accepted Abdul Mutalib's Dua to defend the Kaabah against Abraha and the Elephant Army almost immediately. He put faith in Allah at the same time. This teaches us to place our reliance in Allah and to pray and make Dua whenever we face difficulties. When we engage in supplication to Allah, Muslims like us must improve our confidence in Allah.
Thirdly, envy is a disease that can destroy you. Abraha’s jealousy towards Makkah grew stronger. He envied the Kaabah even more and decided to destroy it so that people would not longer be able to visit it.Nevertheless, Allah sent flocks of birds to harm the army.At the end, Abraha succumbed to the tremendous pain and died.
B) FAVOURITE FOOD FOR IFTAR.
Some people are fine with having something light for their iftar during Ramadan, but I am not one of them. During iftar, I need to take rice. At mahallah, I love to buy fried chicken to eat with rice, and at home, Nasi Ayam is my favourite iftar menu. It need to be my mother’s cuisine.I normally get up at 5:30 a.m. every day for sahoor and eat bread with peanut butter spread
